Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service is running a number of taster sessions to give people the chance to learn more about life as a firefighter. If you think you’ve got what it takes, or just want to have a go, please book your place at one of the following sessions:

Saturday 30th September - Service Development Centre (Ollerton)

Sunday 1st October - Service Development Centre (Ollerton) (women only)*

Saturday 14th October - Service Development Centre (Ollerton)

Sunday 22nd October - Carlton Fire Station

Saturday 4th November - Highfields

The taster sessions will provide an insight into life as a modern day firefighter and will give people the chance to undertake a range of job related tests – this will include donning fire kit and taking on an equipment carry, a ladder lift test, an enclosed space test, a ladder climb test and a manual dexterity test.

For further information or to apply, please contact Jessica at Nottingham Jobs on 0115 876 4508.

*This is a female only event the Service is running as part of its approach to positive action and addressing the under-representation of women in the Service's operational workforce. This is an initiative to raise awareness of the firefighter role and of the requirements within the firefighter recruitment process. This does not preclude anybody from applying to work for the Service. The Service wants to encourage a wide range of people to apply for roles across the organisation.
