Salary: 18 – 20 £5.60, 21- 24 £7.05, 25 – 29 £7.50 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week will include some weekends

KCL Care Ltd has been established since 2013 and offers care support for people in their homes that suffer with dementia, learning difficulties, sensory impairments or have physical disabilities.  They are looking for an Apprentice Support Worker to help maintain and develop the level of personal support they can offer.

Job Description: 

  • Working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental ill health or challenging behaviour
  • Undertaking safe manual handling practices
  • Building and maintaining relationships with people at all levels

Experience and skills:

  • Clean driving licence is desirable
  • NVQ in health and social care Adult or children desirable
  • Minimum 6 months of experience (personal or professional) in working with adults who have either learning disability or Challenging Behaviour, Elderly, End of Life Care, Autism, Physical Disability, Sensory Impairment, Mental Health Illness etc
  • An understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults
  • Experience of providing care to people living in the community
  • Demonstrate ability to relate professionally and respectfully to vulnerable people
  • Able to undertake safe manual handling practices
  • Good written and spoken English is essential
  • Observant and sensitive to a Client's needs
  •  Ability to liaise with outside agencies and other professionals
  • Knowledge of food hygiene/manual handling/health & safety standards and practices

Location: Nottingham NG7 2BJ
